5 Apps Every Influencer Needs

From Adobe Lightroom Photo Editor to VSCO or InShot, here are the apps that will enhance your influencer game.

From Adobe Lightroom Photo Editor to VSCO or InShot, here are the apps that will enhance your influencer game.

To outsiders, influencer marketing may appear to be nothing more than dressing up, eating avocado on toast, and getting free products. There is much more to this than meets the eye.

Here are five apps that every influencer needs to create striking and engaging content:

1. Lightroom

Adobe Lightroom Photo Editor is the number one app recommended by our guests. It is a free, powerful photo editor and camera app that transforms raw photos into stunning images. Lightroom has a great range of pre-sets to help bring your pictures to life and a range of editing tools to help make your content stand out. With Lightroom, you can change the colour of the sky, remove a person from the background, retouch lighting, resize…the sky is the limit.

2. VSCO

Designed by creatives for creatives, VSCO is another photo editing app that all influencers should have. This tool, recommended by Liz Miu, comes with hundreds of aesthetic presets to stylise your snaps and are a far cry from Instagram’s default filters. Aside from the presets, VSCO also allows you to change the exposure, size, contrast, saturation, and sharpness of your pics. There may be many other apps offering these features, but VSCO was one of the first and is arguably the best doing so.

3. InShot

InShot is not your average content editing app. Whilst it allows you to edit photos and create collages, our guest Rani West thinks it’s essential for editing videos and IG reels. Through the app you can easily trim videos, merge clips, adjust the speed and add transitions. InShot also allows you to add music, voiceovers, sound effects, text, stickers, emojis and filters. It really is an all-in-one app but without the confusion that comes with professional video editing software.

4. Tribe

Tribe is an essential app for any creative or content creator looking to take their “side hustle” to the next level. You can ultimately get paid to promote the brands you already use and love, whilst having fun along the way. How it works is that brands post briefs, which you submit your content ideas to. If the brand likes your pitch, then they’ll book you to promote their product or service. Tribe helps remove the hassles so you can focus on the fun stuff! Many of our guests have had success on this app including Soy Babie and our host Renee Buckingham

5. The Preview (recommended by Elle)

A must-have app for any influencer is The Preview. This all-in-one app has got everything you need to create exceptional content. What our guest Ellie Parker loves most is The Preview’s scheduling tool that allows you to drag and drop posts and design your future Instagram feed. This will help with planning and creating an aesthetic that gets both people and brands to notice you. There’s a reason it’s the world’s most used Instagram planner.
